This
week, a homage, sort of, to agents. In the last
issue in this space, we took them to task for the
rather dubious case they had just tried to make in
their Real Estate News for using their services.
But
what agents say in print and for public consumption
is one thing; what they say in private, or believe
in their heart of hearts, may be something entirely
other.
We
received another indication of that
recently. A ComFree client called our office to say
her home had just sold. She was pleased with how things
had gone and revealed she had her agents to thank.
She
had put a conditional offer through
this agent on a house, which meant hers
had to sell before she could get her new
home.
But
rather than put the house up for sale
on the agent's listing service, her agent
advised her to list with ComFree.
Agents
are businessmen and women who
are there to make money. They make sound business
decisions. They operate out of selfinterest.
This
agent knows he wont have a pay
day on his clients purchase until her house
sells. He knows that price is the most important factor
in a successful sale and that by not having to factor
in a real estate commission his client can price her
home more competitively. He knows that private sale
is his best hope to realize the commission he could
lose if someone else comes along and makes an unconditional
offer on the home his client has the offer
on.

He
knows ComFree is the best way to go
private. A real life testimonial from a real
estate pro.
This
isnt the first time weve heard of a
agent recommending ComFree. There have been others.
A few months ago we carried the account of one of
our clients who had sold her condo and cottage through
ComFree, saving about $18,000.
The
circumstances were similar. She had
bought a home through a agent who then advised her
her best chance to sell her place and net what she
wanted was with ComFree.
Whatever
they might say to the contrary
when it suits their purposes, agents know that eliminating
the commission not onlyhelps you sell, but walk away
with more money in your pocket.
